The most recent independent evaluation of the work completed by Sahakarmi Samaj, with support from Irish Aid, SHEP and ICCO, was completed in 2016.

An independent evaluation of the programme was conducted by independent consultant, Mal Simmons, in 2010 and again in 2013. During the 2013 evaluation, Mal and his team interviewed a total of 348 people over a period of 3 weeks. A copy of both evaluation reports can be found below.

Monitoring Reports (Irish Aid)

A monitoring team from Irish Aid visited the project in 2010. The team was impressed with the in-depth community development approach used and by the contribution made by Sahakarmi Samaj to addressing complex social, economic and health issues in the Bardiya and Kanchanpur districts.

Learning and Exchange Visit Reports

In 2009, a group of SHEP employees undertook to visit Sahakarmi Samaj in Nepal to see first-hand the changes that Sahakarmi Samajâs work is making to marginalised communities. Below is a copy of a report compiled as a result of that trip. SHEP employees are also planning to undertake a second trip in November 2014.
