Our most recent staff appointments are as follows:

Ms Maeve Moroney was appointed in February 2010 as Development Officer (part-time) for our Coisceim Low-Cost Counselling Programme. This new position is funded by our main funder,  the HSE.

Ms Deirdre O'Sullivan and Ms Kerri Fitzgerald were appointed in early 2010 as  temporary, part-time Training and Development Officers. These temporary vacancies arise from a career break. These positions are funded by the Department of the Environment under the Local and Community Development Programme.

Ms Leonie Lynch was appointed in January 2011 as  the project's part-time  International Partnership Programme Officer. Leonie will oversee SHEP's international partnership work which is implemented in association with our partner NGO, Sahakarmi Samaj, in Nepal. This work is funded by Irish Aid and ICCO-Kerkinactie.


 

Selection of Trainers, Tutors & Counsellors/Psychotherapists

SHEP is supported in the delivery of our extensive training programme by a panel of SHEP Trainers who are involved on a contract-for-service basis. The SHEP Trainer Panel is  full at present.

SHEP's Communty Education for Health & Well-being is delivered by a panel of over 100 Community Tutors who are trained by the Project. Training as a tutor with SHEP involves completing the Project's two foundation courses, the SHEP Certificate in Facilitation, successful completion of at least one Tutor Training course, and successful completion of an apprenticeship.

SHEP's Coisceim Low-Cost Counselling Programme is supported by a panel of 100+ pre-accredited and accredited counsellors/psychotherapists. From time to time there are opportunities to join the panel.
